Through this on-water and on-land service activity, we assist the United States Coast Guard and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Our members gather information that is helpful in maintaining up to date nautical charts (such as water depths, and changes in visible landmarks), and the United States Coast Pilot publication. They also verify the existance and locations of Geodetic Survey markers on land.
